Fountain Basin 3D Model

This fountain basin 3D model was captured with an Artec 3D Scanner.

  • Scanning time: 50 minutes
  • Processing time: 3 hours
  • Scanner used: Artec Leo

During the scanning process, some of the fountain’s parts at the bottom would move when stepped on, so the fountain was divided into four equal parts, with each one scanned separately to avoid going over the sections that had already been scanned. Doing so ensured there was as little change to geometry as possible, resulting in a truly accurate 3D scan with highly detailed texture. For maximum detailing, texture size was set to 16384×16384, so small details such as leaves and blades of grass would be clearly visible.
