When it comes to a good pair of shoes, it’s all about the details. That’s why the Artec Space Spider was used for the creation of this highly precise 3D sneaker model, top and bottom, inside and out. With the scan capturing the fine geometry of the shoe, Artec also needed to perfectly capture its various texture.
For this, Artec used photogrammetry, where huge amounts of 2D photos are stitched together to create a 3D object. Over 300 pictures were taken during a 15-minute period, and here you can see the result.
