Designing Parts for SLA 3D Printing

By TriMech Marketing, last updated August 29, 2022

SLA 3D printing technology continues to play an increasingly important role in solving the tough challenges that our clients face.

Although SLA technology has been around for decades, it’s only gotten better. The advancements in SLA materials and the large size of our SLA printers are opening doors to more and more engineering and manufacturing applications.

For example, SLA parts that TriMech produced with SOMOS PerFORM material are now being used in jet aircraft engine testing. Parts we printed with SOMOS EvoLVe have been launched into space. Clear thirty-inch long SLA parts are being used in testing to confirm hydro flow predictions.

SLA 3D Printing Examples

We anticipate an ever-growing role for SLA technology in design, engineering and manufacturing. This paper includes many examples of how we’ve seen it being used, and offers some design and engineering tips for getting the best results with SLA.
