Depowdering Process
The depowdering process in 3D printing removes loose powder from parts made with powder-bed fusion (PBF) technologies (like SLS, MJF, Binder Jetting, Metal AM) and is crucial for functionality and finish, involving manual brushing/blowing, mechanical vibration/tumbling, or automated systems that use air, media blasting (glass beads), or ultrasonics to clear trapped powder from internal channels and surfaces, preparing parts for further finishing like polishing or dyeing.
