Sen. Murphy Features InterPRO as Prominent CT Manufacturer

U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) announced on Monday that InterPRO of Deep River is this week’s “Murphy’s Monday Manufacturer.”

Founded in 1997, InterPRO partners with Hewlett-Packard to provide 3D printing, as well as prototype injection molding, casting, computer numerical control (CNC) machining, and reverse engineering services to companies in the aerospace and defense, medical device, computer, marine, telecommunications, and other sectors. With the help of 12 employees, InterPRO serves a renowned list of clients including Pratt & Whitney, United Technologies Aerospace Systems, Bose, Lockheed-Martin, Tesla, Dell, Black & Decker, Colgate, and Yale University.

At the invitation of the U.S. Department of Commerce Export Assistance Center in Connecticut, InterPRO attended the Avalon Air Show in Melbourne, Australia earlier this year to seek out new business opportunities. They also recently added another 4,500 square feet to their operating space. Just last week, InterPRO installed a Hewlett-Packard Jet Fusion printer – the first to be installed in New England – in their new, 4,000 square foot “Innovation Center.” InterPRO is proud to sponsor the University of Connecticut’s School of Engineering Formula Society of Automotive Engineers’ race team.

In order to protect and grow manufacturing jobs in Connecticut, Murphy has introduced two pieces of legislation that aim to strengthen existing standards and prioritize the purchase of American-made goods, the 21st Century Buy American Act and the American Jobs Matter Act.
