Production Parts & Tooling

Printing a low-volume production run with a Fortus machines can maximize sales opportunities while minimizing cost and lead time because there’s no minimum quantity requirement. Plus, part complexity doesn’t add time or cost, so production can begin as soon as the CAD files are sent to the 3D production system.

The Fortus systems provide a fast and accurate means of producing tooling. The efficiency of the FDM 3D Printing process makes it practical to optimize tooling design.

Easy to operate & safe to use

Compared to other additive fabrication systems, Fortus 3D Production Systems are easy to operate and maintain as there are no messy powders to handle and contain. They’re so simple, an operator can be trained to operate a Fortus system in less than 30 minutes.

You can install a Fortus 3D Production System just about anywhere. No special venting is required because Fortus systems produce no noxious fumes, chemicals or waste.

Materials available for the Fortus 450mc

ABS-ESD7™ is an ABS thermoplastic with static dissipative properties for applications where a static charge can damage products, impair their performance or cause an explosion.

ABS-M30™ is up to 25 to 70 percent stronger than standard ABS and is an ideal material for conceptual modeling, functional prototyping, manufacturing tools and production parts.

ABS-M30i is a high strength material well suited for the medical, pharmaceutical and food packaging industries, parts are biocompatible (ISO 10993 USP Class VI)

Antero 800NA

Antero 800NA

Antero 800NA is a PEKK-based FDM 3D printing thermoplastic. It delivers excellent strength, toughness and wear-resistant properties of PEKK material.

ASA 3D printing material is ideal for parts that are going to be used outdoors. The printed parts are consistently high-quality, with exceptional UV stability.

FDM Nylon 12

FDM Nylon 12

FDM Nylon 12 material is ideal for repetitive snap fits, high fatigue resistance, strong chemical resistance and press (friction) fit inserts.

PC-ABS material is one of the most widely used industrial thermoplastics. PC-ABS offers superior strength and heat resistance of PC and the flexibility of ABS.

PC-ISO (polycarbonate-ISO), an industrial thermoplastic, which in its raw state, is biocompatible (ISO 10993 USP Class VI) and can be gamma or EtO sterilized.

ULTEM 1010

ULTEM 1010

ULTEM 1010 resin is a high-performance FDM® thermoplastic that offers excellent strength, thermal stability and the ability to withstand steam autoclaving.

ULTEM 9085

ULTEM 9085

ULTEM 9085 resin is a flame-retardant high-performance thermoplastic for digital manufacturing and rapid prototyping.
